DO you care? These children are from the local villages around Champawat. They come from families that till small patches, which at times they own or at times work upon, to sustain their meager livelihood. Their produce is barely sufficient, leave alone education costs for their children. Having large families and many mouths to feed, they go by the age old tradition of `that many- more- hands to work'. It is imperative that any attempt to take away the child from their homes, fields and other chores, is supplemented with quality education, self respect and a full belly. Education does bring about a challenge to the existing way of life and most feel threatened with monetary implications. However, if the opportunities were to be made available, their lives would be changed forever. There are many children who need much more than sympathy. They need people like you who care and people like us, who implement. We know it means a lot to know -where exactly your money is being spent.
